The Dibatana camp of the Squacco Heron Project is acting as my base of operations. There is a very supportive team of people there who are always willing to offer advice and assistance. Sanctuary lodges have agreed to let me come into the area around some of their camps to carry out my research. Calitz Safaris, which hold the NG34 and NG32 concessions, have allowed me access into their concessions to carry out my research and have been very co-operative. The Harry Oppenheimer Okavango Research Centre, part of the University of Botswana, has offered me the use of its facilities, including laboratories. The owners of the Chitabe lodge have agreed to let me carry out research in the area around their camp Kgori Safaris, who hold the rights to NG43, have allowed me access to their area to carry out research. |
